Kildaria

The new continent was named Kildaria, which meant “our secret,” in the divine language. She revealed Kildaria as a gift to Asor. A place of peace and harmony, lush vegetation, sparkling blue waters, and quiet away from the political ploys and power struggles of the other deities.

Races

Treemen

Created by the deity Raea to protect Kildaria, the Treemen are the cause for all other sentient life in Kildaria, having first attempted creation magic to bring the dragons to life, then animating the elves from wooden poppets.

Dragons

The Treemen created six deific dragons – sentient creatures imbued with different types of divine magic. When the Treemen retired, the dragons took over patrolling and protecting Kildaria. Only one dragon can shapeshift – the youngest, Raion.

Elves

After they had retired, the Treemen missed the liveliness of the young dragons as they grew, so they breathed life into poppets and gave them magical abilities. The elves were nimble creatures whose skin tones matched the materials the Treemen used to create the poppets. They developed a progressive society full of traditions, knowledge, and advanced magic use.

Dwarves

700 years after the elves’ creation, two dragons first attempted creation magic for themselves. Through trial and error, they brought to life hairy creatures that thrived in the mountains, enjoyed talking, and had a zest for life that was unmatched. They were named “dwarf” for the divine word for “backbone.”

Humans

100 years passed after the dwarves’ creation before another two dragons crafted a recipe for a new type of biped. They had hoped the elves would find joy in the humans and help them along in Kildaria, but the elves kept to themselves, believing the humans should learn as they had. Thus, the humans created their own settlements and learned from the land, becoming great builders and farmers.

Wylds

Wylds are the newest race in Kildaria having sailed from Wibwensa, and landed in Zog Ghodral during a devastating war in their homeland 200 years after the humans were created. The Wylds are taller and stronger than any other bipeds. They were given the harsh lands of the Zold to make their homes in return for living in peace with the other races. They have never broken their promise, and they have been allowed to expand and proliferate in Kildaria.
