I write fantasy stories and serious corporate stuff which suits both my personalities just fine.
Alisha Sackett is a professional writer who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. As long as she can remember, she has enjoyed putting words to paper. A longtime student of Alcott, Austen, and Shakespeare, she always thought she would write romance or contemporary fiction. But then she picked up The Hobbit at a thrift store, and her imagination took on new life. Now a devout follower of Gaiman, Tolkien, Martin, Lovecraft, Pratchett, and others, she is enthralled with world building and smudging the boundaries of fantasy and real life.
Alisha has spent most of her writing career as a freelancer delivering copy for websites and white papers, news articles and blogs, and slogans, strategies, and stories. In addition to writing, she is a long-time editor who has worked on small periodicals, magazines, and four self-published novels.
In 2011, she moved to Kansas City and fell in love with the arts culture, the BBQ, and the people. She has raised or helped raise many children and enjoys traveling, pottery, and biking.
